Music Program

The Music Program at IPLC

There are a number of opportunities for our community which enrich and enliven worship opportunities at IPLC.

The Chancel Choir sings a broad repertoire from classical to contemporary. No experience is necessary to join the choir! Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings at 8:00 pm. The choir sings at the 10:30 am Sunday service each Sunday except the second Sunday of the month.

The Bells of Irving Park was established in 1992. Three octaves of Halmark bells are played by 11 people. Again, no experience is necessary to join. We are always in need of substitute players. Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings at 7:00 pm. The Bells usually play at the 10:30 am Sunday service as schedules allow.

The Contemporary Ensemble was begun by Dwan Buetow in 1993. Christopher Richard became the director in 2005. An eclectic range of music encompassing more contemporary idioms such as folk, gospel and jazz is the choir's repertoire. Rehearsals are Sunday mornings after the 10:30 am worship service and the choir sings on the second Sunday of the month at the 10:30 am worship service.
